What is the control board box

The control board box is a protective cover that shields the electronic control board inside the coffee machine. It protects the sensitive electronics from water, moisture, heat and mechanical damage during normal operation and servicing.

Signs of wear or damage

If the box is cracked, deformed or missing fixing elements, the control board is exposed to moisture and dirt from its surroundings. This can result in random dropouts, error messages, short circuits or complete failure of the electronics. A loose or poorly fitting cover also increases the risk of water getting inside during cleaning or from leaks in other parts of the coffee machine.

When it's time for a replacement

A damaged box no longer performs its protective function, even if the board itself still works. Replacing a damaged cover is a simple and inexpensive way to prevent a much more costly repair or replacement of the entire control electronics.
