What is the drip tray/waste container cover

This is an outer cover that shields the area around the coffee outlet or waste container in the coffee machine. Its role is to protect the internal parts from coffee grounds, dripping water and mechanical damage, while also giving the front of the machine a finished, closed look.

Signs of wear
