Coffee Grinder
The coffee grinder is used to grind roasted beans to the desired coarseness right before brewing. The quality and consistency of the grind directly affect extraction, and therefore the taste of the resulting coffee – from espresso to drip coffee.
Signs of Wear
If the grinding mechanism loses its sharpness or is damaged, the grind becomes uneven, containing both coarser pieces and fine dust at the same time. This shows up as bitter or, conversely, watery coffee, longer grinding times, or increased effort when turning the handle. A loose or worn adjustment mechanism also makes it harder to precisely fine-tune the grind coarseness.
Why Replace It in Time
A worn grinder cannot guarantee a consistent grind, which affects the quality of the coffee every time you brew it. Replacing it with a functional part restores the accuracy of the settings and the evenness of the grind, which are the foundation of good taste.
How to Choose
- Check compatibility and dimensions in the table for the specific product.
- Choose the type according to the brewing method you normally use.
