What is the clutch microswitch holder

It is a small plastic part that keeps the microswitch in the correct position within the brewing unit's clutch mechanism. The microswitch signals the coffee machine's electronics whether the clutch is in the correct position, i.e. whether the brewing unit is ready for a brewing cycle.

Signs of wear or damage

When the holder is cracked, loose, or deformed, the microswitch can shift out of its correct position or fail to engage at all. The coffee machine may then report a clutch error, refuse to start brewing, or get stuck mid-cycle, because the electronics are not receiving the correct signal about the mechanism's position.

Why replace this part in time

A damaged holder usually cannot be reliably repaired with glue or a makeshift fix, since the microswitch must be in a precise position to work repeatedly and reliably. Delaying the replacement often leads to more frequent error messages and the need to restart or disassemble the brewing unit.
