What a ceramic valve is and what it's for

The ceramic valve controls the flow of water or steam in the internal circuit of the coffee machine. It opens and closes the path for the liquid at precisely defined moments of brewing, ensuring correct pressure and dosing of water or steam into the brewing unit or steam wand.

How to spot wear

Although ceramic sealing surfaces are durable, prolonged use or limescale buildup can cause them to wear out, crack, or jam. This shows up as water leaking from the machine, irregular or weak flow, unusual noise when the valve switches, or an error message on the machine's display.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement
