What the part is and what it does

The motor with drain (drainage) valve is a drive unit that moves the mechanical parts involved in brewing and, at the same time, controls the draining of water or residual liquid from the internal circuit. It therefore combines both a drive function and a drainage function in one unit, which is typical for automatic coffee machines with their own cleaning and venting system.

When the part stops doing its job

A worn or damaged motor shows itself through unusual noise during brewing, slowed or interrupted operation, water leaking from the machine, or the coffee machine being unable to complete the draining cycle and displaying an error. Sometimes an incomplete cup fill or incorrect pressure during extraction can also occur.

When it's time for a replacement

If the motor does not work correctly, it can not only worsen the quality of the coffee but also allow water to leak inside the machine and damage nearby electronic components. Timely replacement prevents bigger repairs and ensures reliable operation of the coffee machine.
