What is the coffee machine housing cover

The housing cover is the outer panel that covers and protects the internal mechanical and electronic parts of the coffee machine. Depending on its location, it can be a front, rear, side or top panel that holds the appliance's structure together while allowing access to the controls, pull-out drawers or tanks.

How damage shows up

A cracked, loose or deformed cover is visibly noticeable – through gaps that don't close properly, a wobbly or rattling panel, or difficulty opening drawers or doors. In some cases, a damaged cover can prevent the safety switches from engaging correctly, causing the coffee machine to detect the door as open and refuse to operate.

Why you shouldn't put off the replacement

A damaged or missing cover no longer protects the inside of the appliance from moisture, dust and mechanical damage, and can result in the coffee machine becoming unsafe to use or losing some of its functions.
