What is a hose or supply adapter

The adapter serves as a connecting element between the hose and another part of the coffee machine, such as the water supply, steam or air circuit. It ensures a tight and reliable connection between two parts with different types or sizes of outlets, so that liquid, steam or air can flow without leaking.

How to spot wear

A worn or damaged adapter shows itself through water or steam leaking at the joint, dripping under the machine, a drop in pressure, or incomplete filling of the system with water. In air adapters, hissing or insufficient air pressure needed for proper operation of the machine may occur.

When it's time for a replacement

A leaking or cracked adapter puts strain on surrounding components and can cause damage to the hose, electronics or other parts due to moisture. Timely replacement prevents bigger failures and keeps pressure and flow stable in the system.
