Pump Connector

The pump connector joins the water hose to the pump body or to a valve in the coffee machine's water circuit. It ensures a tight, secure connection through which water flows during coffee preparation or when supplying the steam wand. It typically includes a rubber or silicone seal that must fit perfectly to keep the joint from leaking.

Signs of wear

Brittle or cracked rubber on the connector causes water to leak around the pump, resulting in a pressure drop and uneven dosing. The coffee machine may report a flow error, the pump may run more noisily, or it may run dry and draw in air through the leaky joint instead of water.
