What the coffee maker hose does

The silicone hose connects the individual circuits of the coffee maker through which water, steam or milk flow. Thanks to its flexibility and resistance to temperature, it keeps the connection between tanks, pump, boiler and other parts of the appliance secure, without loosening or cracking during normal operation.

Signs of wear

With age, silicone loses its flexibility, may crack, soften or become sticky on the surface. The result is water or steam leaking from the appliance, dripping under the coffee maker, air being drawn into the circuit, uneven pressure during brewing, or an error message on the display. Sometimes the hose has simply come loose from the connector and just needs to be reattached; other times it is already damaged to the point where the connection no longer holds.

When it's time for a replacement

A leaking or cracked hose puts strain on the pump and can cause moisture damage to surrounding components. Timely replacement prevents a bigger failure and restores smooth operation when preparing your drink.

How to choose the right hose

• Choose a hose with the same length and diameter as the original part.
• When ordering, check compatibility with your model in the product table.
• During installation, make sure the hose is not kinked or pinched anywhere.
